Silver Bullion Free Shipping

Silver Bullion Free Shipping

People are buying silver these days at a frenzied pace. But as with anything else you purchase, it is important to read the fine print to avoid any hidden fees or extra charges. Since it is easier than ever to buy silver online, some people will just look at the selling price and think that is the final price that they are going to end up paying.

One of the lessons that I have learned over the years regarding silver investing, is that you always need to look for the words – Silver Bullion Free Shipping – because you do not want to pay for shipping if you do not have to.

When I started buying silver bullion, I never had to pay any shipping fees because I had been buying from some of the local shops in my town. I started out by purchasing silver dollar coins after I inherited a small coin collection from my uncle. They were kind of fun to collect, always being on the lookout for some of the rare dates and error coins that are found in the Morgan Silver dollar series.

Then, as I was looking through the display case one day, my eyes came across a perfectly shiny silver coin – it was an American Silver Eagle bullion coin. It was kind of like love at first sight, and I became infatuated with silver eagles. Back then, the price of silver was much lower, and I was able to buy silver eagles quite often. The only problem was that my local dealers did not have the quantities in stock that I was looking for, so my purchases were kind of limited to what the dealers had on hand.

This was around the same time that the internet first came out, and I stumbled upon a few online bullion dealers that were offering silver for sale. I was a little hesitant to buy something online at first, as many people were during those days, but I thought to myself if things worked out, then I would have a good source to buy American Silver Eagles in any quantity I wanted.

The process was pretty simple and straight forward, the basic internet-style shopping cart you click which item you want, as well as the quantity then go to the check-out. But once you are on the check-out page, there are always some additional fees, be it shipping, taxes, or insurance. Well, these things begin to add up, and before you know it, the cost of buying your silver skyrockets, so you have to be careful.

As I started to buy silver online more often, I discovered other dealers that sold in bulk and were a bit more upfront and customer friendly when it came to these extra fees. Some dealers were charging a little more, and others a little less, but they were still charging. I thought that paying for shipping on my silver purchases was going to be commonplace and something that I would just have to learn to accept, but then I found a bullion dealer that was offering FREE SHIPPING as long as I made a minimum purchase.

That sounded fair to me. If I was required to make a minimum purchase, then I could plan ahead to meet that amount and benefit from the free shipping. This bullion dealer in particular is very good. They are one of the best sources around for silver bullion because they carry such a wide selection. They also produce their own line of silver bullion bars and rounds, which they sell at very low premiums over the current spot price of silver.

So the lesson here is to be aware of the fine print because it can cost you. Also, don’t be afraid to compare dealers and see what perks and incentives they have to offer. That way, you will make the best and most informed silver purchase.
